She cut her teeth working with global brands, but grew tired of established production companies leading clients down a well-trodden path to unremarkable work. She wanted to change how video and film production houses in Singapore operate. So one day she climbed down from her tower and threw her hat into the ring.
She hasn’t just gone off the beaten track, she’s torn up the map. She believes that every concept deserves a fresh point of view and that every challenge calls for a wild imagination — No cookie cutter productions in sight. She has an eye for detail and is passionate about finding fashion-forward ways to make imaginative ideas come to play.

Helmed by Courtney Arcese, a New York native with roots in Singapore for over nine years, DAMSEL bridges the creative chasm between Asia and the West for brands, agencies and creatives. The DAMSEL team is nimble and quick. Jumping between executing as a local producer in SE Asia for incoming international teams to full service productions for remote international clients. Our seasoned team and dynamic freelance network has combined professional experience that allow us to confidently deliver high-quality video production throughout the region. We are a one-stop shop for international production houses, brands and ad agencies to access seamless production support within the APAC region.

The core team of DAMSELs have produced video work in Singapore, Thailand, Cambodia, Indonesia, Hong Kong, and China (Beijing). Beyond these longstanding working relationships with local production crew in the above mentioned countries, we have a partner network to support productions in Vietnam, Japan, Korea and Philippines.

Yes! This is exactly what we LOVE to do. You give us the brief and we’ll assemble an incredible team of local crew to execute the production or support your in-house director/cinematographer that flies in. Whatever the brief calls for (trust us, we’ve gotten some crazy requests!) we’ll source a creative team that is able to slay the shoot and wows execs and audiences alike.

We are flexible and are able to jump between projects that range from full service to client needs as simple as location scout or crew curator. Below are the traditional stages of a video production; we are able to tackle any and all of the following:
Pre-production, which includes script writing, talent/model casting, preparing the appropriate equipment, location scouting, and budgeting
Production, where all the action takes place including directing, cinematography, sounds and lighting effects, set design, and live streaming
Post-production, involving assembling, editing, and finalizing all the content materials obtained to make sure the video is perfectly polished for the audience to engage and consume
Our production house works closely with clients through all three stages of the production process. Our highest priority is a client’s happiness. We’ll work tirelessly to overdeliver whenever we can.
